Stockton, Calif. – The Stockton Heat, proudly owned by the NHL’s Calgary Flames, announce that goaltender Mason McDonald and defenseman Keegan Kanzig have been recalled to the Heat, from the club’s ECHL affiliate, the Adirondack Thunder, while defenseman Ryan Culkin has been reassigned to Adirondack.
McDonald, 20, is in his first season pro having appeared in 28 games for the Thunder posting a 13-9-5 record. He’s a week removed from posting his first pro shutout, stopping all 29 shots he faced against the Manchester Monarchs on March 10.

Kanzig, 22, has split the season between the Heat and Adirondack Thunder, appearing in 6 games with the Heat and recording 2 assists while also appearing in 32 games with the Thunder and recording 5 points. He scored his first pro goal on March 11 against the Manchester Monarchs
