The Heat battled hard to tie the game up in the third period but in the end, two penalties late in the game, one in the third and one in overtime, gave the Stars the chance to win the game on the power play.

Tyler Wotherspoon has been reassigned to the Stockton Heat after his emergency recall ended with the Calgary Flames. Wotherspoon may be available for the Heat tonight when the team hosts the Texas Stars at 7:30 p.m.

Perfect Penalty Kill Leads Heat in Hard Fought Win Over Texas

The Stockton Heat defeat the Texas Stars by a final score of 2-1 in what was a tight-checking affair. Kevin Poulin stopped 35 of the 36 shots he faced, while Mason Raymond registered the eventual game-winner with his power-play goal in the second period.
