Stockton, Calif. – The Stockton Heat, proudly owned by the NHL’s Calgary Flames, announce that the team and fans will attempt to set the world record for most people wearing safety vests on the first Safety Night at Stockton Arena on Saturday, February 4 presented by PG&E, City Rise Safety and Mike’s Towing Service.
However the night is also meant to bring awareness to the people who help keep our community, our cars and our job sites safe. To help the City of Stockton to set the world record number of people wearing safety vests, the team will hand out Heat safety vests to the first 2,000 fans in the arena. Safety workers who own their own vests are encouraged to wear their own representing the thousands in our community who work the dangerous jobs to help improve our community.
A safety fair, learning zones and interactive displays will take place in the concourse transforming the entire game into a learning experience, and in-game educational P.A’s will be played and announced on the jumbotron during the game. Vehicles and displays will also be present outside of the arena before the game for fans to view upon entrance.
