Stockton, Calif. – The Stockton Heat, proudly owned by the NHL’s Calgary Flames, announce that defenseman Keegan Kanzig has been recalled from the club’s ECHL affiliate, the Adirondack Thunder and will join the Heat.
Kanzig, 21, has played 9 games for the Thunder and picked up his first pro point, an assist, last week in Idaho. The 6’6”, defenseman has also gone plus-2 with 14 shots and 20 penalty minutes.
The Heat return home on the final day of November to take on the Charlotte Checkers for Tyler Wotherspoon bookmark night, followed by Jon Gillies bookmark night on December 2 and Frankie the Firebird Bobblehead night on December 3. The first 500 kids 12-years-old and under will receive a bobblehead of the Heat’s mascot upon entry to Stockton Arena.
