Late Goals Push Barracuda Past Heat Saturday
SAN JOSE, Calif. – The Stockton Heat erased a third-period deficit for the fourth-straight game, but for the third time in that span the Heat left with a loss as late goals from San Jose propelled the Barracuda to a 4-2 win Saturday at the SAP Center. Stockton got its scoring from Anthony Peluso, his third marker of the season, and Spencer Foo, his 12th, but ultimately fell short in a game in which the Heat never led. Stockton battled back from 1-0 and 2-1 deficits in the contest, but the game-winning goal from Cavan Fitzgerald near the midway point of the final frame pushed the home team ahead for good. The loss drops Stockton to 1-9 on the year against the Pacific Division-leading Barracuda.
