Morgan Klimchuk Re-Signs with Flames
The Calgary Flames announced Sunday that they have signed forward Morgan Klimchuk to a one year, two-way contract.
Klimchuk, a native of Calgary, Alberta, was drafted in the first round (28th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft by the Flames. Klimchuk, entering his fourth year with the Heat, made his NHL debut on February 19th of this past season. In 62 games with the Stockton Heat this past season, Morgan finished second on the team in scoring with 19 goals and 21 assists for 40 points.
Klimchuk leads the Heat in all-time games played with 183 and is tied for the most goals in franchise history with Andrew Mangiapane with 41. In addition to his consistent play on the ice, Klimchuk is a leader in the the Stockton community as well, winning the Heat Community Award this past season.
