STOCKTON, Calif. – Heat defenseman Greg Moro, who signed a two-year AHL deal on April 14, has been named Best Defenseman for the Clarkson Golden Knights for the 2019-20 campaign, announced Wednesday by the team.
Moro, 24, capped his collegiate career with his second-consecutive Best Defenseman of the Year award for the team after finishing his senior season with seven points (1g,6a), 20 penalty minutes and a plus-2 rating while donning the ‘A’ as an alternate captain.
The blueliner tallied 20 points (5g,15a), 28 penalty minutes and a plus-17 rating in 2018-19 while helping lead the Golden Knights to an ECAC conference championship.
