Stockton, Calif. – The Stockton Heat, proudly owned by the NHL’s Calgary Flames, announce a number of new improvements to the fan experience, season tickets and game night entertainment.
Headlining some of the changes to the games is the brand new Kemper CPA Rinkside Suite, which retails for $975 and includes 25 tickets, barstool and couch seating as well as your own food attendant while watching the game from the glass of Section 122. Not only a comfortable experience, but an immersive one available for the first time during the 2016-17 season.
New this year for the Heat are a number of brand new promotional nights including Superhero Night, Pride Night and Lego/Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Night. Be it dressing up in your favorite superhero costume on November 12, showing support for each other’s differences on January 20 or checking out the cool Lego displays on March 12, the new theme nights at the Heat games will be sure to keep you entertained.
One of the biggest areas of improvements for the 2016-17 season is focused on the game night entertainment. The Heat’s new Director of Game Operations Casey Rusnak, brings a youthful enthusiasm along with years of service with the Arizona Coyotes (NHL) and Diamondbacks (MLB). Rusnak plans on chocking Heat games full of new content to keep the experience fresh from Game 1 to Game 34.
A renewed focus will be on the music used as the team has added a wider variety of songs for use during the games and special songs during Heat theme nights. The team is also allowing fans to help select the new goal song in the Goal Song Fan Vote Presented by Honey’s Air & Solar, however that won’t be the only new thing about Heat goals. The newly named Heat game crew, The Hot Shots, will be waving giant flags during each Heat goal and at other times during the games along with the normal cheering and dancing you already expect!
There will also be a number of improvements to content shown on the videoboard with new videos, skits and clips to keep the games fun. For example learn the ins and outs of hockey with California Welding Supply’s “Knowledge is Power”, which will showcase explanations on various rules or strategies in the sport. While it may not be shown on the video board itself, the Heat will have a newly employed moving lighting system that features a full color Heat logo in high definition for use during the games.
The intermission experience will be getting revamped with brand new games and activities including the popular knockerballs which pits contestants against each other in a safe, but brutal gladiator match on the ice. In addition, the popular Subway Minute to Win It games will be back and in greater variety!
Greater is a good word to describe the t-shirt tossing that will take place at Stockton Arena this season as well, both in numbers and in distance. The team will toss more t-shirts to the crowd during the games and will get far more air than before thanks to brand new T-Shirt guns that shoot shirts twice as far as before. Of course the focus of the games will always be on the hockey and we have an even better reason for you to root for the Heat to run up the score! McDonalds brings you the Score 4 promotion, which nets fans a free breakfast sandwich at participating Stockton, Modesto, and Sacramento McDonald’s restaurants each time the Heat score four goals in a home game.
Speaking of high definition, for fans watching the games or highlights on AHL Live, the Heat games will be multi-casted in HD for the first time. See the view the coaches get as the coach’s camera becomes the way you experience the games on AHL Live.
And for our most loyal of fans, the Heat Full Season Ticket Holders a number of improvements are being made to help you get more bang for your buck including more player events throughout the season, more opportunities to talk with Coach during “Chalk Talk” and a special opportunity to paint the ice surface at Stockton Arena following a Sunday game during the second half of the season.
