Drew Shore brought the Heat close with a terrific goal in the third, but the Gulls would hold on to the 4-2 win. Nick Schneider made his pro debut for the Stockton Heat, stopping 34 of 37 shots in an otherwise terrific start for the 18-year-old goaltender.
