Strength & Conditioning Coach

Rick Davis is entering his second year as the Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Stockton Heat Hockey Club.

Prior to arriving in Stockton, Rick was at Stanford University working as an Applied Sport Scientist & Assistant Sport Performance coach, training with a variety of elite student-athletes designing and implementing a high performance model for Strength & Conditioning. He was also responsible for implementing evidence-based practical training & monitoring solutions to gain valuable insights into the pyscho-physiological demands placed on athletes in their sport.

Davis also has previous stops working with athletes in the private sector, California State University Sacramento, American River College, and spent the 2016-2017 season interning with the Stockton Heat.

Rick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science, and Master of Science Degree in Biomechanics/Strength & Conditioning from California State University Sacramento and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA), a Sport Performance Coach (USAW), and a Corrective Exercise Specialist (NASM).
