Alec Romero joined the Heat Front Office as a Group Sales Executive in August 2018, tasked with reaching out to mainly nonprofits, military, youth sports and churches to arrange fundraisers that make an impact in the Central Valley. Originally from Southern California, Alec moved to Sacramento in 2013 to attend Sacramento State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies in 2018.
While an undergraduate, Alec interned at ESPN Radio 1320 in Sacramento and was a sports writer for the Sacramento Bee. He also worked as Regional Director for The Playmakers nonprofit organization. Playmakers is an after-school program mentoring at-risk youth ages eight to twelve in the Greater Sacramento area. Alec was a visitor to Stockton Arena as a college student attending both Stockton Heat and Stockton Thunder games.
