Chris Picher joined the Stockton Heat in Summer 2017 as the Coordinator, Heat TV and New Media, responsible for managing and expanding the team’s video content for Heat TV, the team’s website and the team’s wide range of social media platforms. In November of 2018, Chris was promoted to Director, Broadcasting & Digital Content, serving as the team’s play-by-play broadcaster. On gamedays in Stockton, Chris is in the broadcasting booth calling all the action. Chris is also a member of the Heat communications team, handling marketing and public relations for the team. Additionally, Chris works as a member of the sales team tasked with reaching fans and businesses through an online marketing presence.
A graduate from Boston University’s College of Communications, Chris has worked as a play-by-play broadcaster for the Boston Terriers Division I hockey team for three seasons and interned for the New England Sports Network (NESN), covering the Boston Bruins in the production truck. He’s also had experience working in the Cape Cod Baseball League, directing media relations and serving as the Falmouth Commodores broadcaster.
